Herewith the concise summary of my past four days of reading. I'm rather surprised that I finished as quickly as I did, since Amy was away from Friday night through Sunday afternoon. I was aided and abetted by my habit of staying up too late.
I finished the 600-plus page novel last night very near the stroke of midnight. Averaging 150 pages a day is something I can't be accused of having done in many years now.
Below the fold is my full and complete review of the novel. The only one I will make. I have kept it free of any spoilers if you haven't yet read the book.

"It could have been shorter."
Thank you.
But you've more than made up for it with the brevity of your review.
And sure it could have been shorter...but half of the joy of Harry Potter is the bizzarrness of 10-year-olds lugging around a seven-hundred page book.
I'm currently 20 pages away from the end. I tried...I really tried to finish it last night. But I kept falling asleep and finally had to give up. I think I'm past all the spoiler stuff by this point...but who knows.

Ha, I was right!
I'd been predicting as much ever since book three. Really, if you caught all the signs you could see it coming.

Moksha, congrats on making it to the end. Now we'll never have to read them again. At least, I don't plan to. Still, a pleasantly distracting read.
Alec, I really should have caught the signs earlier.

It really could have been shorter. But then the fun of reading the series lies not always on the main plot line. Let's say it could have been the same size, but at Hogwarts.
