I promise not to make a habit of posting an indulgent number of pictures of Dex's drawings. But that last one of the Fang-tailed Amphibious Whale was just uncanny. And this one, well, this one has a great title going for it.
When he finished, Declan called this one:
"Look Mommy. Fresh fruit onna kitchen table!"
And c'mon! It totally is.
So begins my month of posting EVERYTHING with a Star Wars quote for a title, in honour of the 30th anniversary of the release of the iconic film that stands as one of the foundations of my childhood. Most of the quotes won't be as obvious as today's.
Glad to see you stuck to your plan of a Star Wars quote per day in May.
That drawing is most impressive. I wonder the boy could do with colors?

I guess it's time for me to put the trilogy in the dvd player in honour of the anniversary.
Your boy is cute, of course.

It really is impressive. It is clearly fruit on a table...and quite possibly better fruit on a table than I could reproduce. And his early embrace of cubist perspective speaks highly of his future in the arts.
You know there are plenty of folks out there going, "That was an OBVIOUS Star Wars quote?!"

Oh, I saw it last night, so I didn't mention it this morning yet. Great banner shot!

I just refreshed and saw the new banner. Excellent. Nice touch using the Star Wars font for your Star Wars month.

Mark, when the boy has colours in his hand, he tends toward monochromatic creations. Still not so great at staying in the lines, but who wants to raise a conformist, ya know?
Alvis, I generally try not to let "cute" comments go to my head, but I make no promises.
Moksha, that was TOTALLY an obvious Star Wars quote! I'll probably start to lose people once I do a couple in Huttese or Twi-lek. Or Ewok!

Oh, I'm not saying it wasn't...I'm just thinking about what it says about us that we regard this line as so obviously Star Wars. Myself...I'm up for a good, "Soam peetalay," anytime you wanna throw it..but then we're geeks. I was just enjoying that fact.

I mean it when I say: "Chesko patoota krista keinko, yagoska!"

I've no clue where this quote fits into the (sixo?)logy, but then, I'm no SW geek. I might recognize Yoda-style talk, but that will be about it. Fun initiative, still.
Whyever are you still letting Declan create masterpieces on an erasable board?

Good gracious what big brown eyes Dex has! Loving the smooshy-faced banner too!

No 'oops'. I blame that one on the server.

Totally is.
