It took him a while to get used to it, but our infant, Tavish, has quite grown into his Jumperoo.
When applied to an unyielding floor, his spastic, sporadic and completely unintentional leg-flailings create an energetic, kinetic experience that seems to take even him by surprise -- if the evidence of his wide-eyed toothless grins is to be believed. Add in a couple of cooing chuckles and his parents are rapt, to say the least. Dinner can burn.
Not to have his own spotlight enervated, Declan gets right in on the action. Tav's oscillations engender a sound and light show that emanates from his Jumperoo, which can also be duplicated by pressing the big purple button nestled behind the blue plastic kangaroo. This causes Dex to stomp around the living room waving his arms in the air (like he just doesn't care) and shouting at unplanned intervals, "Ha-ppy Dance! Ha-ppy Dance!" His toothy grin is a nice counterpoint to Tav's gummy one; and when you throw into the mix a counter-clockwise churning Jack Russell Terrier weaving through an obstacle course of limbs and living room miscellania, it's truly a spectacle to behold.
If I can ever catch it on video, I will.
Sounds like if you ever tried to capture it, you would have a hard time finding a lens wide enough to get it all in.
I guess we deprived our boy. Ben never had a jumper device of any kind, but I've heard numerous stories of how much kids love them. And the highly entertained parents, too, of course.

You can title the video "Fraser & Fraser Bros. (and Dog) Circus". Sounds like a regular three-ringer to me! :-)

I don't think it's fair to post something like this without a video. We're not good at delayed gratification. You should know that by now.
