While allowing my mind to idle at some point earlier this week, I was struck dumb(er) at the realisation of how many numbers are unique to the person that is the Simian. Each one of them is traced to me as an individual and to nobody else on this entire planet.
Just off the top of my head I can rattle off the following combinations of digits:
Social Insurance number
Driver's license number
Cell phone number
Mastercard
VISA
Former university student ID
Employee number at work
Professional association membership ID
Alberta Health Care number
Chequing account number
Savings account number
Blood donor ID
Air Miles collector number
CAA membership
Doubtless, there are many others were I to give it a little more thought.
This is a little disconcerting, which brings to mind that I've written briefly about it before.
01010011 01101001 01101101 01101111
01101110 00100000 01000110 01110010
01100001 01110011 01100101 01110010
(My name in binary)
There are 10 kinds of people in the world ... those that can read your name in binary, and those that can't.
Ok, I know, that's really old.

Wait a minute, are you saying you have all those numbers memorized? Sounds like a sickness to me.

Best memorize this one, too:
St. John's Ambulance - 613-788-9154
'cause Amy will need it when you go round the bend (and you aren't far from it now. Can you say "OCD" after me, boys and girls?).

I got way behind on my reading over the weekend. I have to finish the Showerhead story, too. It's a fun one.
