One should absorb the colour of life, but one should never remember its details. Details are always vulgar.

My Seven Things
via Dixie. Here are my answers:
Seven things to do before I die:
1. Backpack thru Europe with my wife
2. Watch my kids have kids (and, God willing, their kids)
3. Be the best dad ever
4. Write a book
5. Shed all unnecessary materialistic crap
6. Eschew obfuscation
7. Half hour orgasm
Seven things to do before I die (when I was an idealistic teenager):
1. Make a million dollars
2. Enable world peace
3. Be the best dad ever
4. Be a professional sports player
5. World traveller
6. Break out of my shell
7. Sex? I've heard of it
Seven things I cannot do:
1. The splits
2. Operate a sewing machine
3. Hate
4. Go fcuk myself
5. Be everything to everyone
6. Can't keep it in, gotta let it out
7. Change the past
Seven things that attract me to my spouse:
1. Her eyes
2. Bewbies
3. Unexpected phone calls
4. Balance
5. Motherhood
6. Life experience
7. Generous soul
Seven things I say most often:
1. Farley! OFF!!
2. Declan... gimme kiss?
3. ...most of the time.
4. That dog's nuts.
5. Oh my God, he's so cute!
6. Peekaboo!
7. Oh for (random expletive) sake!
Seven books I love:
1. Love You Forever, Robert Munsch
2. The Gruffalo (the boy's new favourite)
3. Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkien
4. The Lions of Al-Rassan, Guy Gavriel Kay (hell, anything GGK)
5. A Game of Kings, Dorothy Dunnett
6. Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsh
7. A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking
Seven movies I would watch over and over again:
1. ANYTHING Star Wars
2. The Incredibles (the boy makes me watch it about 4 times a week anyway)
3. Last of the Mohicans
4. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
5. Pootie Tang (Sine your piddy on the runny kine!)
6. TRON
7. Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
Now, keeping in theme, I'm supposed to tag seven other people to do this. Without taking the time to link links, I'll just name names, (faux pas, I know):
Paul, Vinny, Tina, Mark, Jaq, Penny, Toque.
And anyone else so inclined.
Seven things.
Just as a point of interest, that thing you do, where you put only your quote of the day above the fold, leaving absolutely no clue about what the entry to follow is about, so that I can't remember which ones I've read and which ones I haven't...?
I'm against that.

I'll work on it. Can't say mine will be a whole lot different from yours, but I'll try not to crib too much.
