It's time to start pinching some pennies in the Fraser household.
We're not too sure yet what we're going to do for Christmas (thinking of a minimalist theme), but if we want to do any sort of landscaping and/or basement renos in the spring/summer, then we have to get over our little hump here of bad financial luck.
Down to one vehicle now that Jenna the Jetta needs a new tranny.
Have an overdue photo radar ticket that needs lookin' after.
Amy, bless her, has to pay off the new computer that I may be spending too much time on.
Trivialities, all, but they add up... especially that transmission. Almost makes me feel bad for flying out to Toronto next month for a weekend to meet friends. Almost.
The first step in saving some money is trying to make our clothes last longer. Easier for me and Amy, not so easy for the growing boy.
A creative solution to this problem is to try to stretch his clothes so that they'll last longer and he can wear them longer into toddlerhood. Here's our first technique:

If our boy ever wears anything not bought at a resale shop or on massive sale at Target, it's because friends or relatives bought it as a gift. They just keep growing! Aaaauuuggghhh!!
