Thanks to some pertinent advice from David, I've upped my geek quotient by another iota. In your address bar and/or Firefox tab, you should now see the following favicon:
If you don't, please let me know, I'll send the folks at Typepad a sternly worded Email. I can pull off petulant with the best of them. I tried it with Internet Exploder and it didn't show up there; but then, as I recently discovered for myself, you shouldn't be using that anyway.
Favicons are an intermittent thing, at best, in Internet Explorer. You can download a program called fave-org which will put them there permanently (thanks to Deb for that), along with weeding out dead links and things, if you want. Or, you can do what I did, and just remove the desktop icon for IE from your computer. (I didn't uninstall the program because my wife's secure access to her work system will not work with Firefox, but I made it hard to find, so the boy won't use it.)
