As you can see here, autumn has come to Gaylord Place. (I love our address.) And I received some very good news on the idiot-tube the other night. Last year I spent a couple days raking and bagging all the leaves in our front and back yards. Given the maturity of the trees in our neighbourhood and the size of our back yard, I took something like 20 bags to the recycling dump. Well, I was pleased to hear that it is better for the health of one's lawn to leave the leaves where they lay for the winter, as they provide a modicum of insulation during the colder months. So, I will simply ensure our driveway and sidewalks are clear of fallen obstructions and leave it until the spring.
